On Raw, JBL was originally supposed to face Charlie Haas, but Haas' alter ego of "CHL" came out instead, serving as a mockery of the Longhorn Loudmouth. In disgust, the self-proclaimed "wrestling god" left the ring, giving the referee no other choice but to count him out and give Haas the win.

After the lack of respect JBL received from "CHL" and the fans in Fort Wayne, Ind., the self-made millionaire looked to Batista for sympathy — only to be made more of a fool by a lash of The Animal's tongue.

In a surprising turn of events later in the evening, Raw General Manager Mike Adamle announced he had altered the night's main event between World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Batista to include JBL teaming with Jericho as a 2-on-1 Handicap Match.
