Arena Report - Philips Arena

Tonight, RAW charges into Atlanta for the second time this year. At the Philips Arena, Randy Orton will look to respond to Carlito's rude interruption during his match with Chris Masters last week. DX might also have something to say after WWE.com reported last Wednesday that they have accepted Big Show's ECW Handicap Match challenge.

RAW's last visit to the Philips Arena, on Feb. 6, featured Road to WrestleMania Tournament matches. Fans saw Chris Masters facing Kane as well as Triple H taking on Ric Flair. John Cena was also on the winning end of a Mixed Tag Team Match against Edge and Lita.

RAW also the Philips Arena on April 21, 2003. There, Triple H put the WWE Championship on the line against Booker T and almost lost it when guest referee Shawn Michaels hit the champion with Sweet Chin Music.

While RAW has had several shows in the arena, the most memorable WWE night was Royal Rumble 2002. Triple H stood victorious when the main event came to a conclusion. Earlier that night in a match with Mr. McMahon, Ric Flair had the honor of making The Chairman tap out with his infamous Figure-Four Leg Lock.

The venue, sponsored by Philips Electronics, is filled with large screen televisions. It was built in 1999 on the former site of the Omni Coliseum. It seats up to 21,000 people and serves as the home for the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers.

Will DX survive the McMahons' actions long enough to make it to the Hell in a Cell Match at Unforgiven? Will Cena have anything in store for Edge after the champion's brutal method of challenging him to a Table, Ladder & Chair Match? Find out tonight when RAW returns to its usual place on USA at 9/8 CT.
