Arena Report - Cajundome

"Laissez les bons temps rouler!" When you're in Cajun country that means, "Let the good times roll!" There will be plenty of good times in store for WWE fans when Raw rolls into Lafayette, La., and the Cajundome -- a 12,068-seat arena that will be hosting all the exciting WWE action.

In December of 2001, Jeff Hardy squared off against Undertaker in a Hardcore Title Match at the Cajundome. Even after interference from Lita, The Phenom was able to give Hardy a Last Ride through a set of tables and retain his Hardcore Title.

The arena also hosts the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Ragin' Cajuns sports teams, music events and the annual outdoor Cajun Heartland State Fair. Lasting 11 days, the fair attracts over 175,000 visitors each year and features carnival rides, tons of food, and live music.

Cajundome marketing director Heidi Champaign attends almost every event held at the arena, "We've had Cher, Elton John and Bon Jovi," she recalls fondly. Although Heidi considers herself a DX supporter, she cherishes the picture she took with WWE Superstar Edge. Heidi is involved with each event from the very beginning but says that the event itself makes all the hard work worthwhile, "You get to see everyone having such a good time and all the little kids smiling --- that's the best part."

For a look inside the Cajundome, tune in to RAW tonight at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.
