CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s SummerSlam fallout

August 5, 2024

At SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre was able to defeat CM Punk with Seth “Freakin” Rollins counting the pinfall as Special Guest Referee.

Rollins’ actions caused discontent for both Punk and McIntyre as The Visionary seemed to miss multiple opportunities to count the pinfall for Punk.

Punk’s ultimate downfall, though, was his inability to control his emotions over his stolen bracelet with the names of his wife AJ Lee and dog Larry. Not only did McIntyre walk out with the win, but he also left with the bracelet once again.

Tonight, both Punk and McIntyre will be in Baltimore for Raw. What fireworks will ensue with SummerSlam in the rearview but their animosity still at an all-time high?
