Raw Recall for Sept. 7, 2011
SAY WHAT?: SWEET ... AND SOUR
"The WWE Universe does not know any better, OK? The WWE Universe wants candy, and candy rots their teeth out.”
- Natalya, to Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, arguing over an article on WWE.com which asked whether or not she and Beth Phoenix, The "Divas of Doom," could save their division from so-called sugary, "model" Divas.
OUCH: MAY THE FOUR BE WITH YOU
Alberto Del Rio is WWE Champion for a reason - the man is clever and cunning. During Raw, The Mexican Aristocrat hovered around the locker room planting seeds of agitation against John Cena with Christian, Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. When Cena called out his Night of Champions opponent, Del Rio sent the four to the ring, where they punished Cena and stomped on the lone Superstar.
SHOCK: NASH GETS "HIT-CANNED"
Getting handed your walking papers is bad enough. But to get clocked in the face afterward, well, that's downright humiliating. Just ask Kevin Nash, who endured the embarrassing one-two punch from WWE's Chief Operating Officer, Triple H. After weeks of Nash lying and meddling in official business, The Game finally sent his longtime friend packing, but not before clobbering him across the jaw.
SHAME: INTERFERE FACTOR
Really, Miz? Really? Last week, R-Truth interfered in Miz's match against CM Punk. This week, it was Miz's turn. The Cleveland Screamer yanked Punk's foot as he was setting up Truth for a GTS. Although the move was certainly a lowdown, dirty trick, The Second City Savior got the last laugh when Miz got booted from ringside by the referee and Punk eventually prevailed over the conspiracy connection cohorts.
SLICE OF THE ACTION
