What Will Heyman Do?

In chaotic or troubling situations, you often hear Christians use the phrase “What Would Jesus Do?” Well, right now, Paul Heyman finds himself in that dilemma. Heyman, who considers himself the Messiah of ECW, certainly has a troubling situation on his hands with Sabu.

On the July 25 edition ECW on Sci Fi, he denied Sabu a chance to face Big Show for the ECW World Title and demanded that the Death-Defying Maniac leave the building. Instead, Sabu took matters into his own hands, attacking Big Show with a steel chair after his match with Kane.

As ECW headed to its “holy land” in New York City on August 1, the predominant question that was was “What Will Heyman Do?” Well, when ECW.com asked the self-professed Messiah that question prior to the show, he wasn’t exactly offering a solid answer.

“The situation with Sabu is certainly coming to a head tonight in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom,” Heyman told ECW.com. “I have some very tough decisions to make, regarding Sabu’s desire to step in the ring with ECW World Champion Big Show. Sometime tonight, and I would speculate maybe even during the broadcast, I’m going to have to make a decision…one that may not satisfy a lot of my friends, and one that may cause an even further rift throughout ECW.”

When asked if he would elaborate on that, Heyman simply said no. But when ECW on Sci Fi finally rolled around Tuesday night, Heyman's "answer" became clear. Once again, he denied Sabu an opportunity at the ECW World Title, ordering him to leave the building.

But once again, Sabu took matters into his own hands. After the champion's match with Batista, the Death-Defying Maniac attacked and smashed a chair into Big Show's face. After an Atomic Arabian Facebuster, Sabu gave the champion a third blow with the chair, sending him crashing through a table at ringside. As the show went off the air, the crowd in Hammerstein Ballroom chanted for Sabu as the ECW World Champion lay in a pile of rubble.

No one is quite sure what is going on inside Paul Heyman’s mind…possibly not even Heyman himself. However, the one thing everyone is sure of is that Sabu wants to face Heyman's champion Big Show in the worst way, whether the self-proclaimed "Messiah of ECW" likes it or not.

But after seeing what Heyman has done in recent weeks to other subordinate Extremists...will the juice really be worth the squeeze?
