Quick to judge
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- It was hardly a surprise that the tension between WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison and ECW Champion Kane & CM Punk exploded before their Title Match at Judgment Day on Sunday.
In an early taste of the pay-per-view, the final ECW before Judgment Day kicked off and closed with the four competitors involved. The Big Red Machine and John Morrison faced off in the main event. The Tuesday Night Delight earned the victory, but that wasn't what mattered most to Morrison, whose teammate joined him in attacking the ECW Champion after the bell. Despite the Straightedge Superstar's attempt to defend his tag team partner, the WWE Tag Team Champions closed out the night in celebration of their wins and their newly acquired momentum heading into Sunday.
The competitors were able to keep their cool in the first match of the night. In fact, when The Miz entered the ring to take on CM Punk, he instructed Morrison to remain away from the squared circle. The Shaman of Sexy obliged until he was able to celebrate The Miz's win.
Despite the current advantage held by the champions, all that matters is who walks away with the gold at Judgment Day. Kane & Punk can hardly be counted out, as the pair proved to be a formidable duo one week earlier when they defeated Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely in tag team action. They gained enough confidence that they challenged the title holders to a contest for the championship at the pay-per-view.
Don't miss the outcome of this heated rivalry. Find out who will walk away as WWE Tag Team Champions, Sunday at 8/7 CT only on pay-per-view.
