Yoenis Céspedes displays replica WWE Title after second Home Run Derby win
The Champ is (still) here.
Oakland A’s outfielder Yoenis Céspedes famously sported his own WWE Championship when he won last year’s Home Run Derby, and the slugger broke out the hardware again Monday night when he captured his second consecutive Home Run title – only the second player in history to do so. Céspedes defeated Todd Frazier of the Cincinnati Reds in the final round of the tournament, and modeled his WWE Title front and center alongside the Home Run Derby trophy, raising both proudly into the sky as he addressed the crowd through a translator. He caught the eye of current WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena as well, who shouted out the two-time title winner via Twitter at the end of the night.
