WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley announces his authorship of two all-new WWE Superstar-studded comic book series by Papercutz.

SAN DIEGO — A new “ Face of Foley" was revealed today at San Diego Comic-Con International 2013, as the WWE Hall of Famer announced his authorship of two all-new WWE Superstar-studded comic book series by  Papercutz, the leading children’s graphic novel publisher.

Initiating a new partnership between WWE and Papercutz, New York Times bestselling author Mick Foley will write an original, ongoing action/adventure series debuting in December, with a separate children’s series kicking off in June 2014.

“Writing is a great outlet for me,” Foley said, “and sharing stories of WWE Superstars, both past and present, makes it possible to introduce a whole new generation to WWE.”

With art by Adriano Moraes, Foley’s series will be set in the real world of WWE’s most electrifying events like Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, and will feature a growing cast of today’s most popular WWE Superstars along with WWE Legends from the brand’s storied history. The monthly title will launch in December in comic book stores and newsstands nationwide under a new Papercutz imprint for teens and up. Graphic novel collections of the series will launch next May.

“WWE’s Superstars are truly larger-than-life, with the kind of personality and raw power that makes a comics page crackle with excitement,” said Papercutz Editor-in-Chief Jim Salicrup. “Comics today are in need of a new creative direction and Mick Foley is just the WWE Legend we need to make it happen.”
