"Stone Cold" Steve Austin wants to quarterback the Dallas Cowboys
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin believes that he is the Dallas Cowboys' best option at quatertback until injured starter Tony Romo returns ... and that's the bottom line.
Austin, a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and Texas native, has seen the struggles that backup quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel have been having and is confident he can do a better job.
The Texas Rattlesnake told The Dallas Morning News, "I tell you what, I've got some time on my hands. I could be there Sunday, playing the Philadelphia Eagles ... I think I can line 'em up, throw for about 300, 400 yards."
The WWE 2K16 cover star continued by saying, "Get [Jason] Witten open, get Dez [Bryant] working. A lot of underneath routes. Give [Darren] McFadden the ball a few times. Maybe do a little end-around, fake the reverse pitchout, let me run downfield and Darren can throw me the ball. About 60 yards out, catch it in full stride and boom, spike it over the damn goalpost."
The Dallas Cowboys may be advised to keep Austin's number handy.
