Microsoft's new Silverlight video platform, scheduled for public release this September, will become part of WWE's growing online video delivery system. Thanks to the new technology, WWE.com will revolutionize the way our fans view and interact with video content -- no matter what Web browser or platform of computer they use.
WWE and Microsoft intend to make this interactive video player the primary means for delivering all streaming video to WWE fans around the world. WWE.com will leverage tremendous creative flexibility to create a compelling user experience.
WWE.com attracts more than 18 million unique visitors who view more then 42 million video streams monthly. WWE will join CBS Television, CNN, MLB.com, The BBC, NetFlix and Fox Movies as partners implementing the new Silverlight platform.
Currently, WWE.com offers more than 14,000 individual video clips, including original online shows, highlights from weekly WWE programming and classic moments from WWE's long and legendary history. Later this year, with the launch of our full Silverlight Video Experience, watching video on WWE.com will become an even more exciting and interactive experience.
Working with an established partner such as Microsoft, WWE is excited that this new method of delivering video will improve the experience our fans already enjoy at WWE.com.
