LAWRENCE, Ind. - Two of WWE’s biggest and most recognizable Superstars, John Cena and Kofi Kingston, stepped outside the ropes on July 31 to visit the Indiana National Guard Armory.

Meeting some of the brave men and women who serve this country, in addition to their families and hundreds of WWE fans, Cena and Kingston relished sharing some of their time and interacting with the WWE Universe as part of WWE’s ongoing partnership with the National Guard.

John Cena and Kofi Kingston Visit the Indiana National Guard Armory

WWE Superstars John Cena and Kofi Kingston take time out of their day to visit the Indiana National Guard Armory.

“It’s unbelievably rewarding to have someone who puts so much on the line thank me for putting a smile on their face,” Cena explained. “That’s what we do at WWE, and it gives me great pleasure to come to a place like this.”

In addition to a meet-and-greet and autograph signing with the Superstars, the Indiana National Guard set up other activities for the hundreds of WWE fans, including obstacle courses, video games and refreshments. The National Guard’s partnership with WWE is run state-by-state, and the Indiana National Guard’s tremendous use of the affiliation hopefully inspires other states to do the same.

Kofi summed up not only the cheerful mood of the successful event, but also the gratitude he, Cena and WWE feel for our troops: “Thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you so much. Thank you for letting us be here.”
