WWE celebrates World Wish Day

WWE is honored to support Make-A-Wish Foundation as it debuts its first-ever World Wish Day April 29. As one of Make-A-Wish's enthusiastic supporters, WWE joins the thousands of people from more than 35 countries, aiding the organization in its mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. In honor of World Wish Day, WWE has donated once-in-a-lifetime eBay auction packages for live events in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, United Kingdom, France and the United States, which include meet-and-greets and special prize packs for the winning bid.

Mattel, Disney Store and international artist Romero Britto have also donated items to be sold during the online auction. In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 100 percent of the auction proceeds will be given to Make-A-Wish Foundation. To place your bid, visit stores.ebay.com/World-Wish-Day. World Wish Day is expected to become the leading wish-generating event in the 30-year history of Make-A-Wish Foundation, as affiliates from across the globe band together to spread hope, strength and joy.

Make-A-Wish Foundation's partners around the world will grant at least one wish each in celebration of World Wish Day, totalling more than 100 wishes on this special occasion.

"We hope this first World Wish Day will mobilize both new and existing donors to bring the promise of tomorrow to children with life-threatening medical conditions all around the world," said Dr. Keith Goh, Board Chair Make-A-Wish Foundation International.

WWE is one of the most dedicated wish-granting companies ever to support the charity. WWE Superstar John Cena, also a Make-A-Wish Ambassador, recently received the prestigious Chris Grecius Award at WrestleMania for his exemplary contributions to the foundation. (STORY | PHOTOS | WATCH)
