In honor of Earth Day, a group of WWE employees volunteered by planting seeds Thursday afternoon at the Stamford, Conn., Boys & Girls Club. (PHOTOS) They worked with nearly 70 6- and 7-year-olds, and each child planted his or her own seed in a small cup to take home to watch grow. Both the children and the WWE employees worked in small groups and talked about the purpose of Earth Day. Everyone involved emphasized the importance of taking care of the Earth and ultimately reconvened at the end of the day into a large group to discuss what they had learned. WWE NXT announcer Josh Mathews was the host of the event and aided the children and WWE employee volunteers in this endeavor to help make the world a greener place.
