The Prime Time Players to host a discussion at California University of Pennsylvania
CALIFORNIA, Pa. – On Monday, Oct. 7, before Raw at Pittsburgh's CONSOL Energy Center, Titus O’Neil and Darren Young will visit the campus of California University to participate in a campus-wide university program.
The Prime Time Players will first hit the gym at the on-campus facilities, then they’re scheduled to host a discussion and Q&A with the students, faculty and staff on race, masculinity and sexuality at the Steele Hall Mainstage Theatre.
“This is an opportunity that Both Darren and I are honored to be a part of,” O’Neil said. “As WWE Superstars, we take the influence and the ability to foster positive change that we have as public and global figures seriously.”
Dr. Gabby Yearwood, an anthropology instructor, is also joining The Prime Time Players to co-host the discussion. Dr. Yearwood currently teaches and conducts studies on sports culture and its impact on men.
“To be able to not only entertain as a WWE Superstar, but also to inform those that we entertain on the realities and issues that we share with them as humans, is an honor and a blessing,” Young said. “I'm really looking forward to it.”
O’Neil echoed that sentiment: “At the end of the day we're proud of who we are and look forward to opportunities like this to encourage others to do the same. Be proud!”
