The Miz & John Morrison will be special guest presenters at the 2008 World Magic Awards this week. The ECW tag team will hand out the award for Best Duo Cabaret Magic when the show airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on MyNetwork TV.

"I've always been a fan of magic, so for them to ask us to present was really great," The Miz told WWE.com.

"I've also always been a big fan of magic," admitted Morrison. "Growing up, I always thought it was cool. It's just got that mystery to it. It's something that's always on a little bit of the counterculture and on the down-low. It hits mainstream here and there, but it's just one of those things that's kind of its own entity. It's like wrestling in a lot of ways."

There are 13 award categories, including Best Escape Artist, Best Classic Magic, Best Comedy Magic and Magician of the Year. The show will be hosted by actor Neil Patrick Harris. Magicians scheduled to perform include Hans Klok, Lance Burton and The Amazing Jonathan.

"It was pretty cool for me to be there. I definitely caused a stir backstage. I turned a lot of heads. I'm definitely in a lot better shape than The Amazing Jonathan, for example," bragged Morrison.

The Miz concurred and added they simply added to the "magic" of the evening. The self-proclaimed Chick Magnet wasn't surprised the tag team was asked to be a part of the event.

"They probably saw us on WWE and said, ‘You know what? We want these guys to present for us because they're amazing, they're good-looking and the girls are going to like it. We need girl viewers for magic,'" The Miz said. "Because mostly it's all guys, like nerds, and stuff like that, who are into it. But they were like, ‘We want cool, celebrity, hip guys to present for us.' So who did they call? The Miz & John Morrison … not the Ghostbusters."
