Cena and Orton nominated for Nick U.K.'s Kids' Choice Awards

LONDON -- Nickelodeon U.K. has announced that WWE Superstars John Cena and Randy Orton have been nominated for Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards in the U.K. Cena is up for Favorite Sports Person, while Orton is in the running to win the Favorite Baddie category.

After narrowly missing out on the top spot to David Beckham last year, Cena is once again up against the Los Angeles Galaxy star, as well as British Formula 1 racer, Lewis Hamilton, and captain of the Liverpool soccer team, Steven Gerrard.

"To be nominated is great. To win and beat some hometown heroes, that would be a true accomplishment," Cena said.

In stark contrast to Cena's category, Orton is competing with the likes of The Daleks of Doctor Who fame, Plankton from the animated SpongeBob SquarePants and American Idol's nastiest judge, Simon Cowell. Will these opponents be any match for the Legend Killer?

The WWE Universe is encouraged vote for Cena and Orton now through Sept. 1 at nick.co.uk/kca. These Raw Superstars need the WWE Universe's help to win! Winners will be announced live at the awards on Sept. 13.

"These nominations speak volumes about the impact WWE programming has across the world," Cena said. "If anything, it solidifies our company as providing the absolute best entertainment and sports that anyone's watching. It's not just segregated to the United States."
