Cena to co-host Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards
John Cena has been confirmed to co-host at Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2008 on Oct. 11 at Hisense Arena, Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia.
The Raw Superstar has been nominated in the Fave Sports Star category at this year's Awards, up against Aussie sporting legends Casey Stoner and Grant Hackett and American skating genius, Ryan Sheckler.
Speaking about his nomination -- and presenting duties alongside Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2008 host Natalie Bassingthwaighte -- Cena said, "I couldn't pass up the awesome opportunity to present at the Australian KCAs. Especially since I'll get to hang with my Aussie fans, hopefully take home an orange blimp and score a SmackDown by sliming Rove … life doesn't get any better!"
To vote for their favorite stars, television shows, songs and movies kids can go to nickelodeon.com.au and have their say. Voting is open and runs until Sept. 21 across a total of 19 categories. Cena and Raw Superstar Randy Orton are also nominated for Nickelodeon U.K. Kids' Choice Awards.
Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards has emerged as one of the biggest events in Australia, boasting massive audience participation. Now in its sixth year, it is the only televised kids awards show in Australia that gives kids the power to vote for their favorites and honors their opinions with a show filled with the stars they love.
Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2008 will air exclusively on Nickelodeon on Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m.
