Diva inks her faith
Candice Michelle is keeping the faith. On this week's episode of LA Ink, the Raw Diva had the inspirational word tattooed on the underside of her left wrist.
"I'm excited. It's my first tattoo!" she told LA Ink artist Corey Miller on the TLC series. "Oh my God, you're going to devirginize me!"
"I want it to be sexy, but still strong to make a statement," Candice explained to Miller.
"Yes, like you, I'm assuming," he smiled.
Candice brought a specific script to the LA Ink tattoo shop. Then Miller drew a stencil of the word "faith," imprinted it on her wrist, and tattooed it in dark purple. Before she was inked, Candice asked what her first tattoo would feel like.
"Maybe a little scratch. …You'll be fine. I'll be fine. I won't feel a thing!" Miller joked with the Diva.
On LA Ink, each tattoo has a story behind it, and Candice Michelle's is no exception. Miller asked Candice why she chose the word "faith."
"It's about going for your dreams in life. I didn't start off wrestling, you know? People didn't believe in me and they always said, ‘You can't do it,' and I think it's a testament to my own life that if you have faith you can do it," Candice said while getting inked.
"I was just the actress and model from L.A. I was there just for what I call eye candy on the show. And it was fun being that. I loved being there, but I was really frustrated because it wasn't what I really wanted to do. I really wanted to wrestle," she explained.
Miller was shocked to hear a beauty like Candice Michelle gets down and dirty in the WWE ring. The Diva explained that she's a former Women's Champion, and talked about recovering from a broken clavicle.
"Trust me, that doesn't make me lose faith, that gives me faith. It was that word that just kept standing out to me. It was simple, but so powerful," she said.
Candice described her first tattoo as awesome and perfect, thanks to Miller.
"I feel like he put his heart into it even though maybe it was a small tattoo for him," she said. "It's a powerful word and I think that being a strong, independent woman, it'll be an important thing to have for me."
