Edge and Eve kick-off Season for Global Giving in Australia

Edge and Eve have joined Australia's favorite Christmas gift appeal -- the Kmart Wishing Tree -- as part of WWE's Season for Global Giving campaign (PHOTOSMORE). The Superstar and the Diva will officially kickstart the 2009 Christmas Appeal by being among the first to place gifts under the Wishing Tree, which assists disadvantaged Australians.

As part of their gift donation of WWE soft toys, Edge and Eve are helping the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal in its attempt to break a Guinness World Record, collecting the largest number of plush/soft toys in one room.

About Australia's Kmart Wishing Tree
The Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal has collected more than 4.5 million gifts for people in need throughout the past 21 years. The Appeal supports The Salvation Army (nationwide), The Brotherhood of St. Laurence (in Victoria) and Charity Link (in Western Australia). The 2009 Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal will run until Christmas Eve.

To participate in the Appeal, simply leave a gift under the Wishing Tree located at the front of any Kmart store. (Gifts do not need to be purchased from Kmart). Alternatively, you can make a cash contribution at any Kmart store register. If you would like to participate in the Guinness World Record attempt, please send a soft toy by Friday, Dec. 11, to Trudy Pow, Kmart Australia, 690 Springvale Road, Mulgrave, Vic 3170, Australia. Alternatively, soft toys can be taken to Kmart Victoria Gardens, Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre, corner Burnley and Victoria Streets, Richmond, Melbourne.
