WWE salutes our heroes on Veterans Day
Amid the flurry that surrounds our everyday lives, it's all too easy to forget what - no, who - makes the United States the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave: our veterans. And since today is Veterans Day, we at WWE would like to remind the WWE Universe to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform on this most solemn of days.
With the rapidly approaching holiday season - as well as WWE's annual Tribute to the Troops broadcast special Dec. 19 - we're reminded of our proud tradition of supporting our veterans past and present, including the 1.7 million men and women who have served, or are currently serving, in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has been estimated that as many as one in five Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are suffering from a mental health injury, ranging from depression to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, as a result of their service.
On this Veterans Day, WWE would like to offer our humble thanks to all those who have served, and continue to serve, in the U.S. Armed Forces.
