WWE.com adds style

Veteran ECW commentator Joey Styles has moved from behind the announcers' table and joined WWE.com, as announced on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night. His transition to the global medial realm continues the momentum of a revamped WWE.com team.

"I am very excited about my new position with WWE.com," said Styles. "The Internet is the most important and versatile media ever created, and will one day be the most profitable media in the entertainment industry."

Styles brings invaluable experience with him, having been a commentator since debuting with ECW in 1993. Adding to his impressive resume, he was also the creator and manager of ECWwrestling.com.

"Executive management needed a pro wrestling insider who had been on camera, on the road and had online management experience," Styles explained. "I was a perfect fit."

Brian Kalinowski, General Manager of Digital Media for WWE is enthusiastic about the addition. "We're thrilled to have Joey Styles join WWE.com. Joey is a true industry veteran and a pioneer in the online sports-entertainment industry. I'm looking forward to the new creative vision Joey will set for our fans on WWE.com."

One of Styles' primary goals is to spice up the Web site by bringing in more content exclusive to WWE.com. He intends to add more innovative programming like The Dirt Sheet and Santino's Casa.

"My first order of business," he joked, "is to cancel Tazz's column."
