Triple H continues on the road to recovery

As the Road to WrestleMania 23 winds its way towards Detroit, the wrestling world is continuing to prepare for what may be the biggest edition yet of sports-entertainment's greatest spectacle. Unfortunately, 10-time World Champion and DX founder Triple H will be absent from the in-ring festivities this year. Last week, Triple H stopped by WWE.com headquarters to give us a special update on his recovery from an injury that would force many into retirement.

"I'm not in rehab. Do you see Britney Spears sitting on the table next to me?," laughed The Game when asked about his rehabilitation. "I'm in physical therapy, and it's a lot of hard work. But that's what I have got to do to get back to 100 percent, and get back in the ring."

As for when he can return to the ring at full strength, there is no date set in stone. However, Triple H knows of one particular summer spectacular that he would love to be a part of.

"I'm shooting for SummerSlam," said The Game. "I plan to play it by ear, but I would definetly like to be back in the ring by SummerSlam. I'm not going to rush it though, and I won't return till I'm at 100 percent, and not a day sooner."

In the meantime, The Cerebral Assasin has made plans for the next few weeks of his recovery. They include a visit to the Motor City, where he intends to root for his DX partner Shawn Michaels as he challenges John Cena for the WWE Championship.

"I'll be at Ford Field, as a fan," said Triple H. "It's going to be a nice, relaxing weekend for me where I don't have to worry about the stress of a title defense, or the stress of being part of the main event."

For now, Triple H will be able to relax as his partner carries the torch for DX. This summer though, the relaxation will come to a halt, and the intensity will be back, when The Game returns to the WWE ring.
