Fantastic flight
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- For WWE Superstars, air travel is part of the job description. Crisscrossing the country and flying overseas is commonplace for the top sports-entertainers in the world. This Wednesday, however, Mickie James and Carlito will board two Air Canada 767 aircrafts for one very special journey -- the 18th Anniversary of Dreams Take Flight.

The Raw Superstars will join NHL great Rick Vaive, an elephant from the Bowmanville Zoological Park, clowns, and 275 special needs children to travel from Canada to Disney's Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fla.

For 17 years, Dreams Take Flight has hosted more than 14,400 children with special needs. These include children with life-threatening diseases, those who have come from disadvantaged situations, or have physical and mental handicaps. The program then takes them on a one-day pilgrimage to one of the happiest places on Earth.

Carlito shared his anticipation with WWE.com, "I'm very excited, I've been waiting a long time to do this. They will definitely be excited to see me, but then again, who wouldn't be?"

Mickie James was also enthusiastic (but less cocky) about the trip. "I've never been to Disney World, so I'm super-stoked," laughed the perky Diva. "I've done some events with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but nothing like this. I think it's an awesome thing we are doing because tons of kids dream about going to Disney World -- I know I did!"

On Wednesday morning, Mickie and Carlito will help 275 very special kids onto the Mickey 1 and Mickey 2 aircrafts. The planes will take off shortly after 7 a.m., and soar off into the wild blue yonder, giving the children an adventure they will never forget.
