"WWE Presents Madison Square Garden Classics" on Wednesday, June 4
After a brief hiatus, WWE Presents Madison Square Garden Classics returns this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET with two action-packed back-to-back episodes. Join "Mean" Gene Okerlund as he brings us back to two great events which emanated from the World's Most Famous Arena in the 1980s.
The first episode of Classics is certainly that, with a legendary event on Jan. 23, 1984. Not only will you be able to watch two great matches in Ivan Putski facing Sgt. Slaughter and an Intercontinental Championship Match between "Magnificent" Don Muraco and Tito Santana, but you will also be able to see something truly historic. You'll witness the moment Hulk Hogan won his very first WWE Championship from Iron Sheik.
Afterwards, you will be able to enjoy a second episode of Classics immediately following at 9 p.m. ET. "Mean" Gene will rehash an event from Feb. 20, 1989. Watch The Bushwhackers take on The Rougeau Brothers and "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Also, in a non-title match, WWE Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage goes one-on-one with WWE Intercontinental Champion Ultimate Warrior.
Remember to join "Mean" Gene this Wednesday and every Wednesday throughout the summer on the MSG Network and enjoy some of the greatest bouts to ever take place inside the squared circle as WWE Presents Madison Square Garden Classics.
