"The Wrestler" receives outstanding review

As posted on Variety's Web site Sept. 4, Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" was said to be "an elemental story simply and brilliantly told" with Mickey Rourke's portrayal of the past-his-prime Randy "Ram" Robinson being referred to as a "humorous, deeply moving portrait that instantly takes its place among the great, iconic screen performances." This review comes after the film, starring Rourke, Marissa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood, debuted at Toronto's Film Festival. The full review can be read at Variety.com.
