WWE Studios: New name, new focus

WWE Studios, formerly WWE Films, has stated that it will be expanding into film entertainment and television production, as reported on Variety's Web site July 20. The company is looking to produce made-for-TV movies as well as series' that could possibly star WWE legends including "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mick Foley and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair with guest appearances from current Superstars. Some of the films WWE Studios is currently working on are 12 Rounds starring John Cena, Suckerpunch starring Big Show and a direct-to-DVD release of Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia starring Mr. Kennedy.
