A warrior's call: unforgettable Superstar returns

The desire to compete burns strong within the heart of a WWE Superstar. Some might even say it is their innate duty to perform for the WWE Universe. However, things can sometimes get in the way such as an injury or even retirement.

But the lure of the squared circle is strong, and some Superstars have overcome all obstacles to get back in the ring.

After a potentially career-ending quadriceps tear kept Triple H out of action for most of 2001, The Game made his triumphant return inside Madison Square Garden on Jan. 7, 2002.

On April 2, 2012, Brock Lesnar made one of the most shocking returns ever. With a crushing F-5, he stunned John Cena and changed the entire WWE landscape.

But not all returns have included colliding with other Superstars. This year, after Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a heart attack during Raw, JBL sprung into duty to assist in calling Night of Champions.
