WWE’s Archivist confirms the existence of The Shield riot gear

During his podcast interview with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on WWE Network, WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose discussed the formative days of The Shield. In doing so, Ambrose confirmed that before their debut in the now-iconic tactical gear, the trio almost wielded nightsticks and riot shields.

The WWE Archivist took The Lunatic Fringe’s mention on the riot shields one step further and provided proof of their existence. Paying a visit to the WWE Warehouse, The Archivist tweeted a picture of the tactical gear.
