SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Brock Lesnar returns to SmackDown en route to WWE Fastlane

For the first time in 12 years, Brock Lesnar will return to Thursday nights, ready to go to war against Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane.

The Beast Incarnate returns!

For the first time in 12 years, Brock Lesnar will step into a SmackDown ring tonight on USA Network. And with just three days remaining before he goes to war against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane, The Anomaly couldn’t have picked a more turbulent time to make his big blue return.

While his reemergence is in itself a history occurrence, Lesnar’s presence tonight could also be the final ingredient to turn the growing friction between the brothers-in-arms completely volatile. On Monday’s Raw, Reigns and Ambrose nearly came to blows yet again and the combination of The Beast’s wrath and their imminent showdown to see who will headline WrestleMania might put their friendship over the edge for good.

Moreover, it is worth noting that The Lunatic Fringe continues to tempt the ire of The Breast and that Reigns & Ambrose are set to battle The Dudley Boyz tonight. In other words, we can’t think of any way that tonight won’t turn into all-out anarchy.

Will we see Styles vs. Y2J III at WWE Fastlane?

On Monday’s Raw, AJ Styles challenged Chris Jericho to a third match at WWE Fastlane. The Phenomenal One scored a huge win over Y2J in his Raw debut several weeks ago, only to fall to the six-time World Champion in their return match last week on SmackDown.

Considering the fact that they each hold a victory, a rematch is almost demanded by the WWE Universe. Nevertheless, it appears Y2J is going to make us wait until tonight’s SmackDown to give his response. But will he provide the answer? Or will he continue to wage his war inside Styles’ head?

Will The Wyatt Family remember the titans?

After suffering a trifecta of individual assaults at the hands of The Wyatt Family, Kane rose to help Big Show and Ryback countered the darkness of Bray Wyatt and his ominous hordes on this week’s Raw. As a result, Wyatt’s forces will go to war with The Devil’s Favorite Demon, The Big Guy and The World’s Largest Athlete at WWE Fastlane — news WWE.com broke earlier this week.

In light of this mega-clash of the titans, will the Wyatts offer a hint to their strategy when their address the WWE Universe tonight on USA Network? Do they have something else planned for their opponents? Or could their powerful opposition once again bring the fight to them?

Which Divas conflict will bring chaos to SmackDown?

Two Divas showdowns at WWE Fastlane are causing major destruction in the final week before the pay-per-view. Not only will Charlotte engage in an extremely personal Divas Title showdown against Brie Bella, but Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch will also take on Naomi & Tamina.

So on the crucial final pit stop before WWE Fastlane pay-per-view, how will these imminent clashes between WWE’s battling beauties manifest themselves? Can The Boss possibly depend on her shaky alliance with The Irish Lass Kicker when she takes on Tamina one-on-one?

Will Brie bring the full power of her husband Daniel Bryan’s “Yes!” Movement to bear when Divas Champion Charlotte takes on Natalya in a contest pitting the Figure-Eight Leglock against the Sharpshooter? Find out tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Six Superstars usher in life in the Fastlane

Folks, start your engines. With WWE Fastlane ready to blaze its path of glory, tonight’s SmackDown is scheduled to kick off in absolute overdrive. That’s because Dolph Ziggler & The Lucha Dragons will look to invade The League of Nations!

On Raw, Sheamus, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio brought the full weight of their international power to bear, when they overcame The United States Champion Kalisto, Sin Cara and Neville. Will the addition of The Showoff be enough to ever the odds? Find out tonight on USA.
