At WWE Clash of Champions, WWE Cruiserweight Champion T.J. Perkins made an entrance that delighted anyone who has ever played the original Nintendo. Perkins’ 8-bit inspired entrance video and theme music immediately drew comparisons to video games that defined a generation in the 1980s and early ’90s.
Longtime gamers of the WWE Universe weren’t the only ones cheering for “The Wrestling Yoda’s” new theme – Mega Man himself gave the Cruiserweight Champion his stamp of approval.
The official Twitter account of the iconic Capcom character sent a congratulatory tweet to Perkins following his win over Brian Kendrick.
With his Clash of Champions victory following his winning the Cruiserweight Classic, T.J. Perkins continues to level up in WWE.
