JBL and Bhubesi Pride begin organizing for new sports facility in Malawi
Former WWE Champion and commentator JBL recently traveled to Malawi, where he is helping to set up programs for a sprawling new sports facility alongside the for-profit charity Bhubesi Pride Foundation.
The complex, which WWE.com reported on earlier this year, is expected to feature both sports and education programs ranging from the existing rugby youth program to basketball, netball and volleyball. Additionally, it will provide life-skills education and partner with relevant organizations to offer “tutoring, adult learning, healthcare, IT and teacher training” in the hopes of creating local jobs for one of the most poverty-stricken areas in the world. Take a look at the video and tweets below for a glimpse at his week.
To donate to the project, visit the group’s GoFundMe page. For more about the project, visit Bhubesi Pride Foundation at rugbyinafrica.org.
