Dolph Ziggler def. Rusev

HOUSTON – In the midst of all-out chaos, Summer Rae seemingly unintentionally cost Rusev his match against Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champion.

It was an intense showdown from the start, forged in a tabloid-like controversy involving The Bulgarian Brute, The Showoff, the injured Lana and Summer Rae.

From the opening bell, Rusev was clearly on a mission not just to defeat his bleach-blond opponent, but to make him suffer. And with every passing moment, the dominating Bulgarian Tank did just that. Though Dolph was able to stay in the game, even the best maneuvers in his arsenal would not allow him to overcome the fury of his adversary.

Then, in the height of the action, Summer Rae decided to interrupt the contest by climbing up on the apron. When she fell into the ring, the referee ejected her from ringside. In response, the irate Diva hurled her shoe into play and struck the not the official or Ziggler, but Rusev! This stunned the superior competitor and distracted him long enough for Ziggler to hit the Zig Zag for the huge victory.

But, were Summer’s actions accidental? Is it possible that, after Ziggler gave her a gift last week, she may have meant to help The Showoff prevail? Find out Monday night on Raw.
