Triple H sends custom championship to Mexican League champions Chivas

Popular soccer team Club Deportivo Guadalajara – more widely known as C.D. Guadalajara or Chivas – has received a custom WWE Championship in honor of recently winning the Mexican League title. The honor was bestowed upon them along with a congratulatory tweet Monday morning from Triple H.

It didn't take long for the champs to respond to Triple H; on Twitter (@Chivas), the team's in-language reply assured they were making room for the custom title in their trophy room, and that they are prepared to defend it proudly. Members of the Sacred Flock, including midfielder Javier Eduardo López (aka "La Chofis"), also took time after training to pose with the coveted prize.

“Las Chivas Rayadas” (“The Striped Goats”) claimed their 12th Mexican League title with a 2-1 victory over Tigres UANL in the Torneo de Clausura last May. The triumph made Chivas the first team in 22 years to win the league title (Liga MX) and league cup (Copa MX) in the same season.

Felicidades on a championship season, Chivas.
