Scott ArmstrongBio

Every time you watch a match refereed by Scott Armstrong, you're watching a man who is living out his dream.

Armstrong has been in the wrestling business since 1983. But he has been receiving training from experts since the day he was born. Son of the legendary Bob Armstrong, Scott remembers wrestling with his three brothers -- all who went on to careers in sports-entertainment -- on the beach, using water as their canvas.

"I was born to be in this business," he said.

Armstrong first joined Southeastern Championship Wrestling in 1983. From there he worked with several companies and in many locations, including Japan. From 1992 until 2001, Armstrong worked for WCW. In the final nine months of his tenure, he traded tights for stripes and became a referee.

Five years later, after working as a manager for a furniture store in Pensacola, Fla., a second chance came in the form of ECW.

"The second time around sure is sweet," he said. "ECW is a different mentality of wrestling. The frame of mind is to do things bigger, better and wilder, and I dig that."

Armstrong gets to be just feet away from those maneuvers as they happen. He also gets to see a different city every week when he travels with WWE.

"I live the life of 10 men. I get to see places people only dream about."

Still, he makes sure to spend all of his remaining time with his wife and two children.

Armstrong considers himself blessed to be a part of WWE. His career has led him to a number of friendships and it has even brought him closer to his three brothers. For that, he owes a great deal of gratitude to his father for laying the groundwork, and of course to his wife for supporting him all the way to living his dream.
