Three weeks ago on SmackDown, after he learned of the injury to his chief rival, Matt Hardy, the Ballin' Superstar was honored in a special ceremony on SmackDown, where he was presented the first-ever United States Championship ring by JBL.

The celebration was cut short when Mysterio came to defend Matt Hardy, his friend, leading to the upcoming encounter at Armageddon for the gold. But the match itself doesn't seem to concern MVP, who is more concerned with flashing that cash and letting the "big things pop, little things drop."
