After Randy Orton had been awarded the WWE Championship at the start of No Mercy 2007, The Game shocked the world by defeating him for his 11th World Championship. But, the night was not over, as Mr. McMahon forced the new champion to go up against Umaga. Somehow, Triple H withstood the 348-pound Samoan's onslaught and kept his championship intact. Reign No. 12 - Backlash 2008

In a history-making Fatal Four Way Elimination battle at Backlash 2008, The Game defeated a trio of past and present WWE Champions – JBL, John Cena and, ultimately, Randy Orton – to claim his 12th World Title. Ending the “Age of Orton’s” near seven-month reign, Triple H not only secured his spot at the top of sports-entertainment, the King of Kings reseated himself upon the illustrious WWE Championship throne.
