WrestleMania VII - The Rockers vs. Haku & The Barbarian
In the opening match of WrestleMania VII, Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty took on two members of the Heenan Family, Haku & The Barbarian. While Haku & Barbarian were bigger and more powerful than The Rockers, it was Michaels & Jannetty who walked out of Los Angeles victorious.
Early in the match, the Rockers tried to use their speed to their advantage, but the Heenan Family caught Michaels in their corner, working over HBK’s back. Michaels escaped the onslaught, and The Rockers were able to hit a pair of superkicks to send their opponents to the floor to regroup.
Once the match continued, Haku & The Barbarian isolated Jannetty in their half of the ring following a double hotshot. Barbarian eventually missed a flying headbutt, allowing Jannetty to tag Michaels. HBK came in and cleaned house, getting a few near-falls on Haku. All four men ended up in the ring, and after Jannetty nailed Haku with a missile dropkick, Michaels came off the opposite turnbuckle with a flying bodypress to get the pinfall on Haku.
