As Mr. McMahon continues his quest to learn the identity of his illegitimate son, WWE.com examines the impact other sex scandals have had on the careers of luminaries with out-of-control libidos. Some paid dearly, others simply got paid. Herewith, a list of famous faces who’ve cursed (or perhaps celebrated) their sex drives… and their video cameras.

Bill Clinton

In the scandal that propelled “Monica-gate” into the lexicon, President Clinton was charged with allowing White House intern Monica Lewinski to perform oral sex on him in the Oval Office. The affair led him to near impeachment. Yet despite—or maybe because of—the relentless attacks on him, Clinton left office with an approval rating of 65 percent.

Pamela Anderson

Arguably, actress Pamela Anderson’s finest work surfaced in 1998, when a sex video of her and husband Tommy Lee was leaked onto the Internet. The tape showed the pair's sexual exploits, but instead of damaging her career, the publicity shot Anderson up Hollywood’s A-list. It led to her producing and starring in her hit show, V.I.P., the next year.

 

Dustin Diamond

Anyone who saw Dustin Diamond play Screech on the ‘90s sitcom Saved by the Bell left thinking: 1) What a dork, and 2) That dork will never have sex in his life. While the actor remains dorky, he now has a sex video to prove that he has, in fact, fornicated. The '06 tape, Screeched, however, is regarded as a failed try at reviving the actor’s flaccid career.

Rob Lowe

In 1988, Rob Lowe met two women at a bar in Atlanta and took them to his hotel room, where he taped the three having sex. When the video leaked out, the actor's career hit the skids, and he entered rehab for sex addiction. Years later, Lowe returned for a more successful second act, starring in Austin Powers films and NBC's West Wing.

Jimmy Swaggart

Preacher Jimmy Swaggart’s fall from grace came during the late ‘80s. Swaggart criticized fellow ministers for sexual misdeeds, but it was revealed that he frequented a prostitute himself. His hypocrisy exposed, he made a tearful plea for forgiveness. To many, though, Swaggart's mea culpa rang hollow, and the disgraced preacher never quite recovered.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton and her beau taped themselves having sex in 2000, but the video remained under wraps until just before the '03 premiere of her reality show, The Simple Life. The socialite said she was “embarrassed” and “humiliated”. But the ensuing publicity undeniably boosted ratings for her show and launched Hilton into the public consciousness.
