WrestleMania 21 – April 3, 2005

At what was John Cena’s second appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All, he managed to secure his very first World Title at WrestleMania 21. In the shadow of Hollywood, Cena captured the WWE Championship from the money-minded blowhard, JBL. This triumph in Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center commenced one of the longest WWE Title reigns in history and also led to the creation of the custom-made logo-spinning championship.

World Championship Reign No. 2

Royal Rumble – January 29, 2006

After Edge’s controversial cash in of his Money in the Bank championship opportunity at New Year’s Revolution, John Cena regained the WWE Title mere weeks later from The Rated-R Superstar at the Royal Rumble. This, however, wouldn’t be the last Cena saw of The Ultimate Opportunist.

World Championship Reign No. 3

Unforgiven – September 17, 2006

Spending the majority of 2006 proudly defending the gold against all challengers, but most notably Edge, John Cena met and defeated his archrival in The Rated-R Superstar’s own domain, twice over: A Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match in Toronto, Canada. With The Master Manipulator’s plummet from the ladder’s peak, Cena ascended toward victory and emphatic closure to this rivalry in his foe’s hometown.

World Championship Reign No. 4

Survivor Series – November 23, 2008

In late 2008, John Cena returned to action from a career threatening neck injury and surgery, seeking the top prize on Monday Night Raw, then held by Chris Jericho. On Cena’s home turf in Boston, the 12 Rounds star sought to snare his very first World Heavyweight Championship accolade – and he did just that at Survivor Series, where the newly crowned champion celebrated his feat with his father at ringside.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania – April 5, 2008

John Cena’s fifth World Title triumph occurred on a most suitably grand stage: The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. Revisiting two longtime nemeses in Edge and Big Show – both proven more dangerous and contentious than previous encounters – Cena somehow managed to hoist The World’s Largest Athlete for an Attitude Adjustment that rattled Reliant Stadium in Houston and earned The Champ the World Heavyweight Title.

World Championship Reign No. 6

WWE Breaking Point - September 13, 2009

At the first-ever pay-per-view event of its kind, WWE Breaking Point, John Cena went head-to-head with Randy Orton in an "I Quit" Match. Enduring torturous conditions against The Viper, Cena reclaimed the WWE Championship by locking in a handcuff-reinforced STF on his foe. Orton's exclamation of two powerful words sent Cena on his sixth World Title reign.

WWE Bragging Rights - October 25, 2009

It may not have been the first time John Cena captured the WWE Championship, but it might have been his most memorable World Title victory. The Champ celebrated his seventh title win with a scintillating triumph over Randy Orton at WWE Bragging Rights in a One Hour, Anything Goes WWE Iron Man Match. Cena out-scored The Viper 6-5, and claimed ultimate bragging rights over his fierce rival in the grand finale between these two ring warriors.
