Curt Hawkins: Bio

Curt Hawkins

There have been some legendary streaks in sports-entertainment history, but no Superstar can touch the streak held by Curt Hawkins — 269 consecutive losses without a single win.

Of course, there's much more to Hawkins than a couple hundred consecutive L's. One of the rare Superstars who can claim to be a veteran without a single gray hair, Hawkins has been competing in WWE since 2007 when he backed up Edge alongside Zack Ryder as the lookalike Edgeheads. The pair not only claimed the WWE Tag Team Titles during this time, but mixed it up with The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania XXIV when their mentor took on The Deadman.

Hawkins' career went down many unexpected paths from there: He forged tag teams with the likes of Vance Archer and Tyler Reks, had a brief spell in WWE NXT, and even spent a stint outside of WWE, plying his craft on the independent scene. When Hawkins returned to WWE in 2016, he fell into some misfortune and started what became a 269-match losing streak. Instead of painting Hawkins as a loser, though, the streak unexpectedly endeared him to the WWE Universe.

Hawkins snapped his losing streak in spectacular fashion at WrestleMania 35. Reunited with his best bud Zack Ryder, the pair beat The Revival to win the Raw Tag Team Titles on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Even sweeter? It took place in East Rutherford, N.J. — just a few miles from their New York hometowns.
