Respecting those who paved the way

Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle and Maria reflect on following in the footsteps of some of WWE's greatest Divas.

Trish Stratus

Want the ultimate combo of beauty and brains? Try three-time WWE.com Babe of the Year and seven-time Women's Champion Trish Stratus. No matter the endeavor, Trish was always a success.

The Fabulous Moolah

The Fabulous Moolah was the longest-reigning Women's Champion ever and the first female inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. What else needs to be said?

Sunny

She knew you wanted her, and that's what made Sunny one of the most desired Divas of the 1990s. She was a manager of champions and a beauty who was certainly as hot as her namesake.

Miss Elizabeth

Miss Elizabeth may not have been the most physical Diva, but the beautiful and classy "First Lady of Wrestling" was an icon at the side of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and others in the 1980s and 1990s.

Luna Vachon

Though she never captured championship gold in WWE, second-generation Superstar Luna Vachon was one of the toughest and meanest females to step foot in a WWE ring.

Molly Holly

Molly Holly was one of WWE's most intense Divas - she once had to shave her head after losing to Victoria - but the two-time Women's Champion was also one of the most breathtaking.

Sable

Sable's combination of beauty, brains and brawn helped redefine the word Diva in the 1990s. Not only is she a former Women's Champion, she was also the first Diva to grace the cover of Playboy.

"Sensational" Sherri

2006 WWE Hall of Famer "Sensational" Sherri left her mark no matter what she did. A multiple-time Women's Champion, Sherri also carved out a niche as one of the most dangerous managers in the sport.

Lita

Whether aligned with Edge, The Hardys or on her own, Lita was one of the most fearless Divas WWE has ever seen. Even a broken neck couldn't stop her from becoming a four-time Women's Champion.

Mae Young

One of the true pioneers of ladies wrestling, Mae Young has been active in the ring for eight decades. On March 29, she will become only the third female to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

And don't forget the ladies of today...

WWE.com has everything you need to keep up with current Playboy cover girl Maria and all of the gorgeous WWE Divas.
