Beach bash
Grab you swimsuit and slather on the suntan lotion, because it’s time to hit the beach with Maria and Torrie Wilson! The Divas, along with Superstars Val Venis, Daivari, Chris Masters, Chuck Palumbo, Chavo Guerrero, Jimmy Wang Yang, and WWE Legend Jimmy Hart, will take over Venice Beach, Calif., tomorrow for the Biggest Party of the Summer.

“Maria and I will be there for an hour, around noon, signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans, just saying hi,” said Torrie. “I’m definitely a West Coast girl. I’m really looking forward to going to Venice Beach and hanging out on the beach for the day. It should be a fun time!”

Maria said she’s very excited to spend time with Torrie and meet our fans on beautiful Venice Beach.

“There are also going to be wrestling matches throughout the day, so that should be a lot of fun,” Maria said. “It is a great segway to the Biggest Party of the Summer. I can’t wait. We’ll be on Venice Beach, it’s summertime and there will be lots of bikinis, I am sure!”

Extreme autograph signing
Attention Kelly Kelly fans! The ECW Diva is having her very first, solo autograph session next weekend in New Jersey. She’ll be at the Woodbridge Center mall’s BC Sports Collectibles on Aug. 25.

“I’m doing my first autograph signing by myself, so I’m really excited about that because I’ve never done one by myself, just for me,” Kelly Kelly said. “I’m really excited about it and I hope a lot of people come out. I love the fans. And my action figure just came out, too, so hopefully people will come out to get their action figures signed!”

Meet Kelly Kelly at BC Sports Collectibles, 218 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, N.J., from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Diva’s homecoming
Last Monday, when Raw rolled into Buffalo, N.Y.’s HSBC Arena, Beth Phoenix was quite possibly the proudest Diva in the venue.

“Last week in Buffalo, my hometown, I had the opportunity to appear live on Monday Night Raw, the biggest stage of them all. I was right there, in front of a crowd of my hometown fans,” she beamed.

“I went to Canisius College in Buffalo, and for the first time I saw so many people I went to school with, chanting my name outside the arena. And they had the opportunity to buy a ticket, to watch me wrestle and be a star,” she continued, her proud smile suddenly turning into a wicked grin.

“But then there were the same people who thought I wouldn’t amount to anything,” she said, her eyes narrowing. “They were there, chanting my name, dying to buy WWE shirts, from the company I work for, and probably regretting all those nasty things they said!”

Rocker Diva
Maria
was a special guest at Ozzfest in Tinley Park, Ill., last week. The Raw Diva had a blast at the music festival, where she met Ozzy Osbourne and other musicians on the tour.

“Ozzfest was incredible! The thing I realized when I was there, was when I was standing up on the stage – and as amazing as it was seeing Ozzy and Mike Bordin, the drummer from Faith No More, and all these amazing guitarists – well, as cool as that was, my favorite part was looking out into the crowd,” Maria explained.

“I think that’s why I enjoy so much being on this side of it, and watching the crowd. Looking out into the crowd is pure adrenaline. There were 30,000-something people out there, and it was just amazing seeing them all!” she smiled.

Speaking of concerts, read on for the Divas’ favorite summer concert memories…

Concert chicks
Aside from her recent trip to Ozzfest, Maria’s favorite concert was seeing the band O.A.R. earlier this summer.

“I went to O.A.R. this May. My favorite song is ‘Home’ because it reminds me so much of being on the road and going home,” she said. “But I also like ‘Crazy Game of Poker’ because about four or five years ago, when I was in college, we’d play that song all summer long. Every time I hear that song, it brings back so many memories!”

Beth told Diva Dish she tries to go to Ozzfest every year, and she isn’t afraid to get down and dirty at the festival.

“It’s probably one of my favorite concerts. There are always big names, and they have a second stage with up and coming bands, which is really cool,” the Raw Diva said. “I have gone to a couple where it was pouring rain and everyone was flinging mud at each other. It was an awesome time. It was so cool. I’m hoping I’ll get the chance to go this year if my schedule allows.”

Kelly Kelly said she’s excited to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in concert this summer.

“I got tickets to go to the concert in Tampa. I’m so excited. I love Tim McGraw. He’s awesome. He’s hot, too!” the ECW Diva giggled. “That’s the only summer concert that I’m going to, since it’s hard to find time off. But I’m excited about that.”

Shockingly, Kelly Kelly’s fellow Extreme Exposé member, Brooke, has never been to a large concert.

“This is crazy, but I’ve never been to a concert… ever!” she admitted. “I’ve been to the rodeo, if anyone knows what that is? At the rodeo they have concerts there. I’ve seen people perform a couple songs there, but I’ve never been to like a big concert, and I am embarrassed to say so!”

On the other hand, ECW’s Layla said the last concert she went to was one of her favorites.

“I went to Jamie Foxx’s concert just before the summertime. It was really good,” she said. “I really want to see Beyoncé – that’s one coming up that I want to go to.”

Raw’s resident wannabe pop star, Jillian, told Diva Dish she’s been to plenty of concerts, and surprisingly, her most memorable isn’t a Britney Spears concert.

“I went to Boyz II Men, Destiny’s Child and Next. I had so much fun because it was outside. This was probably a good six or seven years ago, but whatever, it was so fun,” she said.

While this summer Kristal is too busy to attend a summer concert because of planning her wedding to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, she told Diva Dish about her favorite festival.

“One year I went to The Up in Smoke Tour. It was Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg and a couple other hip-hop artists. I just remember laughing a lot and having a really good time!” Kristal said.

A punk concert is the last place one would expect to see SmackDown’s French-Canadian Diva, Maryse, right? Wrong.

“I haven’t been to a summer concert in years, but one I will remember all my life, because I almost died, is The Offspring!” she said, laughing. “I was right in front of the stage and I didn’t know what it was going to be like. I was right in the middle of this huge like, wow… mosh pit! It took me at least like 30 minutes to get out of there.”

Torrie said her busy schedule doesn’t allow her to go to many concerts, but when she has the opportunity to attend one, she goes.

“There is a place in The Woodlands in Texas that’s an outdoor venue, and I’m planning on going to see The Fray there very soon, so I’ll get back to you on that one. It should be good!” the SmackDown Diva smiled.

Mickie James said she’s not a big concert-goer, either, and she’s a little hesitant to admit which concert was her first.

“My first concert I ever went to was Billy Ray Cyrus, and I believe that might be the only concert I’ve ever been to,” the Raw Diva laughed. “Oh, you know what? I’ve been to Panama City Beach during Spring Break, when MTV comes down. I think I saw Ja Rule there.”

Raw’s resident songstress, Lilian Garcia, is a fan of attending outdoor concerts at Jones Beach in New York.

“I saw KISS and Aerosmith there. Oh, it was awesome! It rocked the whole night,” she said. “It was on Jones Beach, so it was outside, overlooking the beach. You can’t get a better atmosphere than that. For a summer concert, I love to go to Jones Beach as much as I can, but that concert really, really nailed it.”

Finally, Candice Michelle said her favorite summer music festival is Summerfest in her home state, Wisconsin.

“Summerfest is a yearly thing, but I haven’t been there in about five years. It’s been too long! It’s the biggest festival of the year,” the Women’s Champion explained.

“All these bands come, from local bands to big artists. It’s just a great show because you have such a variety of musicians. My music span is broad, from hard house to country. I want a little bit of everything.”
