In the history of the corrido de toros, many matadors have come and gone. Some have risen to great heights. Others have spilled their blood in the sand and been forgotten. But in legend and song, there are two that have been remembered for their bravery, their desire, their sheer will to win. Some believed that such men were only myth but now they are reality as Los Matadores fight again in the rings of WWE.

On the Sept. 30, 2013, episode of Monday Night Raw, the legendary duo made their WWE debut after weeks of anticipation, finally taking to the new ring with a victory over Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal of 3MB. Utilizing majestic maneuvers culled from their time in the bullfighting ring and with their trusted toro, El Torito, at their side, the masked warriors Diego & Fernando brought their inaugural opponents to defeat before the rapturous applause of the WWE Universe. In their first pay-per-view appearance the following month, the duo defeated The Real Americans at Hell in a Cell.

At the WrestleMania 31 Kickoff, Los Matadores lost in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Championship Match, when Tyson Kidd & Cesaro retained their titles. Most recently, they competed in the first-ever Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships during WWE Elimination Chamber and the Fatal 4-Way contest for WWE Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam.

With the WWE Universe at their feet and the future wide open, the new world will never be the same again now that Los Matadores have arrived. ¡Olé!
