WWE Vengeance 2002: Rob Van Dam vs. Brock Lesnar
In the finals of the 2002 King of the Ring tournament, Brock Lesnar defeated Rob Van Dam to earn a WWE Championship opportunity at SummerSlam. The next night on RAW, Lesnar challenged RVD for the Intercontinental Championship but lost by disqualification. A rematch was set up for Vengeance, with Intercontinental gold once again on the line.
