Gorgeous George

Whipper Billy Watson's defeat of WWE Hall of Famer Gorgeous George in Toronto in 1959 was a hallmark moment, as George's treasured, pampered golden locks were shaved off in the middle of Maple Leaf Gardens, bringing glee to a sold-out crowd, plus millions watching on. television.

Jerry Lawler

Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler is "The King" of Memphis wrestling, and proved it in 1977 against Bill Dundee. He won a series of grudge matches against Dundee that summer, in which Dundee lost $4,000 cash, his Cadillac, his Southern Title, his hair, and his wife Beverly's hair to Lawler.

The biggest live crowd for a Hair vs. Hair Match was WrestleMania III. More than 93,000 at the Pontiac Silverdome saw Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeat Adrian Adonis. Resident WWE barber Brutus Beefcake did the honors, cutting Adonis' "adorable" locks after the match.

1998: Summerslam scissors

Jeff Jarrett faced X-Pac at SummerSlam at Madison Square Garden in 1998. With the DX Army eagerly wanting to see a shave, X-Pac delivered a guitar strike to the country crooner to seal the win. Jarrett was held down by locker room allies as X-Pac, and The Fink, cut away Jarrett's hair.

2000: Farewell to Flair's hair

One of the most famous hairdos in wrestling history met its end on WCW Nitro in July 2000. After a Handicap Match against Vince Russo and his son, David, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair had his head shaved by Russo with his family watching. Russo also razored the hair of Flair's son, Reid.

In a Hair vs. Hair Match at Judgment Day between Edge and Kurt Angle, The Rated-R Superstar preserved his flowing locks with a win, then proceeded to shave Angle's head. Photos

Chris Jericho

In a Hair vs. Hair Match on Raw, Chris Jericho knocked Kevin Nash out cold with a pair of brass knuckles. Then, wielding a pair of scissors, took advantage of the defenseless Nash, leaving him with a messy trim. More Chris Jericho

Big Show

After Big Show threw Kurt Angle off a balcony on SmackDown in September, Angle resorted to a tranquilizer dart to down The World's Largest Athlete. Capitalizing on Big Show's defenseless condition, Angle and others shaved his head. More Big Show

Inside Madison Square Garden at WrestleMania XX, Women's Champion Victoria defeated Molly Holly to retain her title. Adding insult to injury, Victoria strapped Holly to a barber's chair and sheared off her hair after the match. WrestleMania XX facts/stats
