Is Rob Gronkowski coming to NXT?

Could the Gronk Spike be the next big finisher in WWE? A Twitter video from New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, featuring his good friend and NXT Superstar Mojo Rawley, has the WWE Universe wondering.

The video features Rawley, who has been out of action after suffering a shoulder injury at the hands of Tyler Breeze, saying he may need to find a new tag team partner, only for Gronkowski to burst on the scene.

“You’re going to get Gronk Spiked for sure,” the three-time Pro Bowler declared.

Rawley followed up on Gronk’s video with a bold claim of his own.

This isn't the first time Gronkowski has been involved with Rawley and NXT. Gronk has been spotted in the crowd at Full Sail University cheering on NXT's Hype Man, and even had a face to face meeting with WWE COO Triple H.

Though it can’t be said how the pairing of Gronkowski and Rawley would fare once the bell rings, there’s no doubt that the tag team would bring plenty of energy to the squared circle, based on the Twitter video.

“We don’t get hyped — we stay hyped!” the rowdy duo exclaimed.

UPDATE: In an interview with FoxSports.com's Jimmy Traina on Wednesday, Gronkowski gave further credence to the rumors of him entering the squared circle.

"I can definitely see something in the future," Gronkowski said.

"Hopefully, Mojo Rawley starts wrestling a lot and starts doing what he has to do and makes it to Monday Night Raw. If my boy is there, I'm there for an appearance."
