NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable Results, May 20, 2015: NXT Champion Kevin Owens’ title match against Sami Zayn ended in chaos as Samoa Joe stepped into NXT

Finn Bálor def. Tyler Breeze to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Title

ORLANDO, Fla. – As the sold-out NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable event took hold of the award-winning WWE Network, viewers witnessed absolute bedlam rock the NXT Championship Match, while the NXT Women’s Title Match took the action to a whole different level and an earth-shattering appearance by a new force, who stepped through the yellow ropes for the first time.

WWE NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable

Following a mysterious attack on Hideo Itami in the parking lot of the NXT Arena, hours before TakeOver: Unstoppable, it was determined that he suffered a torn rotator cuff, rendering him unable to compete in the bout that kicked off the show. As a result, the previously scheduled Triple Threat NXT Title No. 1 Contender’s Match was transformed into a fierce one-on-one showdown between Finn Bálor ( sporting an even more demonic look than ever before) and the self-absorbed Tyler Breeze. In the height of the action, after leaping onto his opponent from high on top of the arena entrance way, The Demon finished off Breeze with the Coup de Grace.

As the dust cleared after this collision, NXT Champion Kevin Owens was spotted watching his new No. 1 contender on from a backstage monitor, sizing up the man who'd emphatically earned the right to a future championship opportunity.

NXT Tag Team Champions Blake & Murphy def. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

WWE NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable

After leading the NXT Universe in the all-too-familiar declaration of their virtues, Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady – joined by Carmella – prepared to take on Blake & Murphy for the NXT Tag Team Titles. It was just two weeks ago that the titleholders launched a backstage attack on the outspoken tandem, leaving Enzo & Big Cass out for retribution as well as the coveted tag team prizes from the opening bell.

The roughneck pair appeared close to snaring victory over the champions until Alexa Bliss unexpectedly appeared and attacked Carmella. In the chaos that followed, the scheming Diva then pushed Enzo Amore from the top rope, leaving him prone to a pinfall as Blake & Murphy sealed the fate of the No. 1 contenders.

In a highly anticipated and very personal rematch, former best friends Sami Zayn and champion Kevin Owens went head-to-head for the NXT Title.

Early mind games by the champion quickly gave way to a true brawl that rampaged inside and outside the ring. into the NXT Universe. Back in the ring, like a man possessed, Zayn seemed to have an answer for almost everything Owens threw at him – that was until the action moved back outside and Owens suddenly the determined challenger with a Pop-up Powerbomb onto the ring apron. From there, the vicious titleholder would not relent, refusing to let officials check on Zayn — still recovering from an injury suffered weeks ago in a breakthrough clash on Monday Night Raw against John Cena — and then unleashed an absolute onslaught on his defenseless adversary.

Owens pulled the injured opponent back into to ring, where even multiple referees could not restrain the vile champion long enough to check out Zayn, causing NXT General Manager William Regal to physically interject. Regal grabbed a hold of the unyielding Owens, who responded by headbutting the GM before going for a chair. It looked as if the situation was going to get even worse for Zayn and virtually anyone in Owens' path.

Then, out of nowhere, Samoa Joe stepped into the NXT Universe! The tough-as-nails competitor climbed into the ring without hesitation and stood face-to-face with the brutal titleholder. Owens ultimately opted to back away from the confrontation, leaving the fired up NXT Universe to wonder what will happen next between these two fierce warriors.
