Yes, Bayley and Sasha Banks’ 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match at NXT TakeOver: Respect is historic for several reasons. It will be the first time Divas compete in a WWE Iron Man Match, as well as the first time the two women anchor the main event of a live special on WWE Network.

But the history runs deeper than sports-entertainment. Both Bayley and The Boss recently gave their Twitter followers a look into their past to see just how long they’ve been dreaming about this moment. It started when Bayley posted a high school essay about her dreams.

“To me, being a successful female wrestler in WWE isn’t running around, having a little five minute match every show,” the future NXT Women’s Champion wrote.

Not to be outdone, Sasha Banks posted an essay of her own from when she was 11, showing that there’s always been a little Boss inside of her.

“I’m going to be the best pro wrestler WWE has ever seen,” she wrote.

The tweets have earned the two accolades from their predecessors, like former WWE Women’s Champion Victoria and WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus, who expressed nothing but pride at the levels Sasha and Bayley are taking women’s wrestling to.

“Keep making those entries in the history books,” Trish urged the two.

The personal revelations serve to illustrate that Bayley and Sasha have been preparing for Wednesday night’s championship showdown for much, much longer than the three weeks since the match was announced. The two Divas are determined to make the most of this opportunity on the biggest stage of their careers. Don’t miss a second of the historic 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Respect, live this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, only on WWE Network.
