Asuka vs. Dana Brooke
The NXT Universe will get its first look at the women’s division’s mysterious new fighter, Japanese legend Asuka, when she debuts against Dana Brooke at NXT TakeOver: Respect. There, The Total Diva will discover whether she made a grave mistake in trying to upstage and run off NXT’s highly touted signee.
Alongside Emma, Dana interrupted Asuka’s contract signing on the Sept. 23 edition of NXT. Calling themselves NXT’s welcoming committee, the two mischievous Divas, who also claimed responsibility for running Charlotte and Becky Lynch out of NXT, patronized the onetime Kana.

Outnumbered and with her special moment ruined, Asuka left the ring without a fight, though she flashed a knowing smile as she walked away, seeming to hint that something more sinister and ill-intentioned lies beneath the surface.
The following week, NXT General Manager William Regal informed Dana that she would be Asuka's opponent at TakeOver before underscoring the ferocity of the NXT newcomer, showing Dana and Emma footage of Asuka’s vicious striking ability.
With Emma looking on, will The Total Diva back up her boasting and derail Asuka’s NXT career at the outset? Or will the decorated Japanese sensation — who once appeared so innocent and joyous, if not overwhelmed by the ballyhoo surrounding her NXT contract signing — reveal why she is considered one of the most dangerous wrestlers on the globe?
Don’t miss Asuka’s historic debut at NXT TakeOver: Respect, which airs live, only on WWE Network, Wednesday, Oct. 7.
